You have a book inside you. Let me help you get it out. Every step of the publishing process, from your idea to your book in your hand.

Hello
I’m Elle Carter Neal, and I’ve edited well over two million words in the course of nearly fifteen years in this industry. I’ve also published five books of my own so far, and I’ve been a ghostwriter on numerous projects. I completed one of my manuscripts from start to finish while pregnant with my second child, and with a two-year-old in tow. And I have worked on complex editing jobs while holding and soothing a baby with chronic reflux.
I have a wealth of strategies to share with you that will make your writing project come together much more easily than going it alone. I’ve made tons of mistakes over the years and learnt a lot of what I know the hard way – I want you to be able to take a shortcut and save yourself time and money so that your book can begin to work for you as soon as possible.
Fully Booked is a multi-part course, designed to empower you with the knowledge and skills to make publishing a part of your business. It’s your investment in yourself.
It is NOT a “done-for-you” service, where you can end up forking out thousands each time you have a book to publish. Learn the process once, and apply it again and again. Discover what you enjoy doing yourself, and what you prefer to outsource.
Best of all, Fully Booked is compatible with both traditional and self-publishing options.
Usually, you would write a book – spending months or even years plugging away at that manuscript on your own. And only then do you go looking for an editor, who picks the whole thing apart. I’ve done that on both sides of the fence, and I have a hard-earned reputation as an editor who can work magic with what I’m given, changing as little as possible and avoiding lengthy rewrites.
There is a lot of confusing information out there. How do you know where to invest your time, energy, and money? You don’t want to end up making mistakes or wasting resources. You just want someone who has done it before to tell you what steps to take, in a simple, easy-to-follow programme.
Yes, there is a better way.
Don’t struggle on your own with information overload and writer’s block when you can get advice and feedback whenever you need it from an experienced developmental editor.
With Fully Booked you’ll receive guidance from the beginning, and at certain key points of your planning and writing process. You’ll get the motivation to stay on track, and your book will be done so much quicker and easier… and the editing that follows will be much less brutal. Imagine not having to undo much at all – only correct typos and improve the flow of your text.
And that’s not all. You have a polished manuscript – what do you do with it? How do you end up with a physical book in your hand? Instead of sending you off into the wilds of the publishing industry alone, I’m here for you during this phase, too. The internet age has granted us a vast number of publishing options, but it can be confusing and daunting. You could spend years wading through the conflicting information and advice that’s available out there – and much of that is tailored to authors navigating the much more established industries in the US and UK, and who have access to the innovative businesses that have sprung up to serve authors residing there.
Instead, you’ll learn about the viable options we have here in Australia – in fact you’ll start with making this decision. You’ll have all the systems and processes you need to publish (or craft a proposal to a traditional publisher) in neat step-by-step guidelines.
Testimonials from editing clients and students
“I can’t believe how helpful it is to have my work picked apart the way you’ve done it. What I learned from your coaching was just as valuable as the hundreds of dollars I spent on “How-To” books on writing.
“It’s one thing to review the examples from real world examples of literature in those books, but it’s entirely different and much more helpful to have the weaknesses of my own writing shown to me. I’m really glad I chose to use your service.”
~ Paul Perron ~
“Without my editor I would never have come this far. This story would not be what it is without the marvelous input and amazing work of Elle Neal. I am so grateful for her insights and wise reflections. I once feared my dyslexia, but thanks to Elle that fear crumbled. She made me believe that I am capable of great things. Thanks so, so much for the time you gave me, and the gift of your skills.”
~ Kylie Leane, author of The Chronicles of the Children series ~
“I am immensely grateful to you for the good, solid advice you have given. You understood perfectly the problem I’m having… I’m considering all the possibilities you suggested.
“Your comments concerning the prologue are spot on and easily put right; yet I would never, never have seen it had you not pointed it out. Thanks.
“Your ability to isolate the pivotal points of the novel and show how they can be improved is nothing short of astonishing.”
~ Michael Woods, author of The Lost Explorer ~
